An over strength Roxbourne beat an understrength TMCC
On a very warm day TMCC were asked to bowl at what turned out to be a very a strong batting line up. In a 35 over match Roxbourne put on 239 for 4. Nauman bowled economically, going for just 26 in his 7 overs. Raffi Grant who continues to show commitment and enthusiasm and is working hard on his game bowled 4 overs, going for 19 runs and dismissing Campbell for 39. Lenny Cohen took hIs first wicket for TMCC, assisted by a stunning catch on the boundary from Tim Hart (congrats on getting your pharmacy degree this week 2:1).
TMCC were never at the races during their innings and were bowled out for just 80.Only Jon Mymin made a significant contribution scoring 26.
This week the Sunday XI were joined by New Zealand over seas player Jake Halstead who opened his account with a six, and showed some great changes of pace with his bowling. In addition 12 year old Ayrton Malhotra made his debut bowling leg spin and ending up 4 not out. We look forward to seeing others from the Colts getting their opportunity to impress in men's cricket.
