Nauman Khan smashes Totteridge to victory
The Sunday XI played their first match at a new look level Totteridge.
Having beaten Belmont very comfortably earlier in the season this game proved far more challenging.
Belmont skipper Adam Jacobs won the toss and batted. In what was a lacklustre performance in the field TMCC took only 2 wickets as Khan removed Altmann Richer caught behind by skipper Hart, and debutante Ronak Shah removed Jacobs aided by a well taken catch by Jon Mymin. Belmont reached 204 for 2 from their 35 overs.
TMCC's reply couldn't have started any worse. The first ball saw Lenny Cohen caught at slip, whilst Rob Stain was caught off the second ball by the wicketkeeper. In stepped Simon Durban who hit a well crafted 58 before also being caught behind. When this 5th wicket fell TMCCs were on 120 with plenty still required. At this point some good batting from Benny Wolpe (26 not out) and some big hitting from Nauman Khan (70 not out) saw Totteridge reach their target with 2 overs to spare.
This victory meant that the new Sunday XI had won 4 of their first 6 fixtures. The momentum continues to build.
Team selection has not been published for this fixture yet.
