On the day of the World Cup Final the Sunday XI played against the Rain Men. Four social members, including Keith Yearley, were joined by some sunday regulars together with Jake and Flynn.
TMCC batted first with Bob Luder leading the way with 29. Later on Jake scored a brutal 94, assisted by skipper Clive Hart (retired 35). Eventually TMCC declared on 264.
TMCC had the rain men 3 wickets down before the captains agreed to take an extended drinks break to watch the last few overs of the World Cup Final. As that extended in to a Super Over the captains shook hands on a draw.
A day that will live in the memory.
